USAA Scam Targets Military Personal and Their Families.
The USAA is a financial institution tailored to meeting the needs of our armed services personal and their families. USAA has just become aware of a phishing scam that attempts to persuade recipients of divulging their personal account information. Such an email could be asking for credit card info, account numbers and passwords, and other seemingly relevant information. I received an email from one of my Facebook friends that I thought was the real deal. The message said, “Check out this goofy video of you.” It even had a screenshot that prompted me to click the play button in the middle of the video screen. Feeling a little uneasy about it, I decided to delete it. I just barely read an article about a scam that was just discovered in North Dakota that had this same message. Either the subject or text body contained the words, “check out this goofy video of you.” (more…)

Intel has just announced that they have successfully produced a transfer device (called an interconnect)that would give users the ability to download HD movies in seconds.
With traditional copper wires being the usual material used as mediums for transferring data, fiber optics would allow us to send much more information, quicker and over longer distances. This prototype means that Intel is taking steps toward a time when switching over to fiber optics is more within our grasp.
